2008: Development accelerates
- Opening a new CroisiEurope agency in Lausanne – Switzerland.
- Construction of MS PRINCESS SISSI 2 (first cruises scheduled April 2009) and MS VIVALDI (first cruises scheduled July 2009)
- Launching of Red Sea cruises on Egypt and Jordany. CroisiMer carries on its expansion.

2007: CROISIEUROPE becomes the general agent for CROISIMER and markets its products.
The company creates the CroisiMer brand, dedicated to maritime and coastal cruises.
Construction of the MS BELLE DE L'ADRIATIQUE with a capacity of 200 places.
Itineraries in the Adriatic along the Dalmatian coast and in the Mediterranean are to be created.
2006: CroisiEurope celebrates its 30th birthday in style!

This is the year of CroisiEurope's 30th birthday! To celebrate this birthday in style, the company has initiated a significant partnership with UNESCO intended to make a symbolic gesture of solidarity. This also means the arrival of the MS Europe which will reinforce our presence on the Danube – Black Sea route, alongside the MS BEETHOVEN.
2005: Development of the North/South route
CroisiEurope is striving to make its mark on the European North/South route by launching its first cruises in Spain on the Guadiana and the Guadalquivir, between Spain and Portugal, and to northern Europe, from Berlin to the islands in the Baltic Sea.

2004: The conquest of the East
CroisiEurope's conquest is continuing to the East with two long cruises; one of 11 days on the green Danube, from Passau to the Black Sea; the other of 9 days in the heart of Hungary on the Tisza. This also means the launch of the largest boat in the company, the "MS Beethoven", 110 metres long and 11.40 metres wide with 3 decks, able to accommodate 180 passengers.
2003: Launch of 2 new boats
A first boat will reinforce the company's presence on the Duoro in Portugal, the "MS Fernao da Magalhaes", and the second, the "MS Leonardo da Vinci" on the Rhine, the headline destination of CroisiEurope.

2002: Inauguration of the river station in Strasbourg and the opening of two agencies
Entirely redeveloped, the river station in Strasbourg is inaugurated this year, while two new agencies are opened, one in Nice, the other in Brussels.

2002: First cruises in Portugal
CroisiEurope is setting course for southern Europe with the first cruises on the Duoro in Portugal.
2001: Opening of the Lyons office
This is the year in which CroisiEurope opens its Lyons office.

2000: Development of the European North/South route
Development is continuing in northern Europe on the Elbe in Bohemia, and in southern Europe, with the first cruises on the Po in Italy.
1999: The succession is well and truly guaranteed
This year marks a turning point since Gérard Schmitter and his wife, Jeannine, have decided to pass on their flourishing business to their four children: Patrick, Philippe, Christian and Anne-Marie. Each in their own unique area of specialisation will help to maintain the heading to success. Christian in General and Commercial Management, Patrick as General Technical Director orchestrating and supervising the construction and fitting of the boats, Philippe, General Director in charge of Catering and Accommodation and Anne-Marie, General Director responsible for financial transactions aboard each boat in the fleet.

1998: First cruises on the Seine
The Seine and its meanders accommodate the first CroisiEurope cruises, which are crowned with considerable success.
1997: Alsace Croisières becomes CroisiEurope and asserts its new European dimension
The "CroisiEurope" brand replaces "Alsace Croisières" in order to come into line with its European dimension, which extends far beyond the borders of France. The desire to conquer new fluvial and maritime horizons satisfies this strategic choice.

1995: First cruises on the Rhone and the Saône
Launch of the first cruises on the Rhone and the Saône in response to a clear demand.
1993: First cruises on the Danube
Launch of the first cruises on the Danube to meet current expectations.
1991: Creation of the Paris office
The opening of its office in Paris becomes unavoidable to face up to the increasing expansion of CroisiEurope.

1990: The company becomes its own ship owner
The company decides to become totally responsible for the design of its craft. An in-house engineer designs and constructs all of the company's boats. The "MS Liberté" is the first boat symbolising this concept to enjoy full control over the entire fleet. By choosing independence, Gérard Schmitter is deliberately playing the difference card.

1986: The first "Prestige" category boat"
CroisiEurope acquires its first "Prestige" category boat, the "Kellermann". With its totally new design, this vessel offers a very high level of comfort.
1984: The first boat with cabins
The first boats with cabins, the "Hansi", the "Kléber" and the "Petite France" offer longer cruises with overnight accommodation on board, thus extending the cruise on the Rhine and its tributaries - the Neckar, the Moselle, the Main and the Saar - not to mention being able to set sail on the inland waters of Holland.
1982: The first boat
Gérard Schmitter acquires his first boat, the aptly named "Alsace 1", and offers a cruise on the romantic Rhine to Rüdesheim in Germany.
1976: Creation of the company
Gérard Schmitter, Alsatian by birth, creates Alsace Croisières and launches the fashion for Fluvial Tourism by offering lunches and afternoon dances around the port of Strasbourg.
